Professor Elizabeth George's research interests include nonstandard work arrangements and their effects on individuals and organizations, as well as the impact of dissimilarity within teams on both the team and the organization. More recently, she has been exploring the long-term implications of nonstandard work and dissimilarity for individual and organizational effectiveness.

Her work has been published in academic journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Organization Science, and the Journal of Applied Psychology.
